The Design and Technology curriculum at Temple Mill intends to give children the chance to design for purpose. To investigate and analyse products, develop their own ideas and skills in order to produce products which fulfil a brief. We wish for children to have experience in Food Technology and nutrition, understanding more about where their food comes from, how to safely use equipment and prepare a range of sweet and savoury dishes. We wish for them all to understand the importance of a balanced diet and be able to make wise food choices within their own lives. We want all children to have experience with construction, electronics and product design. We encourage them to persevere, problem solve and evaluate their designs.
