We are delighted to welcome you to Temple Mill Primary School which became part of the Howard Academy Trust in 2015. The continuing upward trends of end of key stage results reflects the hard work and commitment of our experienced and settled staff working in partnership with governors, pupils and parents.
About Our School
We are a single form entry school with its own onsite Nursery. There are 8 classes in school, from Nursery to Year 6, we have over 200 pupils on roll from Year R to Year 6 and over 30 children access the nursery provision, either full time or part time.

Our Curriculum
We are committed to the all-round development of our pupils and this is reflected through our continuing hard work on developing and enhancing our curriculum. We also source and utilise specialist teachers to enhance our provision, such as in Spanish, music and PE.

We have strived to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where every pupil is supported to achieve their best. What a fantastic evening we had last Friday! We joined choirs from Deanwood Primary School and Miers Court Primary School to form a The Howard Academy Trust choir, which performed alongside Dominic Ferris Music and Georgi Mottram at St Margaret's Church. It was a truly phenomenal evening, and the children did an amazing job! A huge thanks to Dominic Ferris for letting us be part of such a brilliant community event!
This week, Butterfly Class has been buzzing with excitement as they investigate the world of minibeasts! They enthusiastically designed their own minibeast hotels, thoughtfully selecting materials like sticks, leaves, and pinecones to create inviting habitats for various insects. They discovered that some bugs prefer cool, damp environments under logs and stones, while others are drawn to sunny areas among the flowers.

Year 1 and Year 4 joined together for a Mini-Beast Workshop to support their learning in Science. They enjoyed a mini-beast hunt, identifying the creatures they had found and learning more about them. They were even able to make replica invertebrate fossils!
