Child Protection & Safeguarding

At Temple Mill Primary School we are fully committed to the wellbeing and safety of all of our children. We adhere strictly to all required and recommended safeguarding procedures and regularly audit and update our practice and procedures to reflect best practice.

If you are worried about a child, our school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Willson and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are  Mrs N Caselton, Mrs K Collis and Mrs Lucas

Barbara Fincham is the Governor responsible for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Designated Teacher for Looked After Children (DLAC)

Our DLAC is Nicola Caselton.

Their role is dedicated to ensuring that every Looked After Child in our school receives the support they need to thrive. They work on promoting high aspirations, safeguarding wellbeing, and removing barriers to learning. The DLAC works closely with carers, social workers, and the Virtual School to provide tailored academic and pastoral support, ensuring each child has the best possible opportunities.
