Harvest Celebrations 2022

We had our Harvest celebrations as part of our usual Celebration Assembly, the children looked bright and colourful in their own clothes, and it was especially nice to see so many outfits in autumnal colours.

Before school, Mrs Wood set up a lovely display of the items that had been donated over the week, only to find she then had to extend the display and make use of an army of Year 6 children to display the items that arrived today – almost doubling the collection!

We then enjoyed singing together two Harvest favourites; “Oats and Beans and Barley Grow” and “Cauliflowers Fluffy”. Butterfly class then treated us to their version of “The Dingle Dangle Scarecrow”. They looked fantastic in their Harvest hats!

The donated items have been sent to All Saints Church, Frindsbury. They will be added to their collection and displayed in Church before being distributed in the community. Annie said she enjoyed the assembly and she thinks “it’s good to donate because some people like homeless people don’t have enough food.” Rosie thought Butterfly Class were very brave to sing in front of everyone and that she had enjoyed learning the songs with her friends.

Thank you for Mrs Wood for putting this celebration together.
