Remembrance 2021

Mr Bignell lead the Remembrance Assembly this year with all classes joining in the 2 minutes silence.

All classes spent time learning about Remembrance Day and what it means to us.  It is a day to stop and remember all of the people that did something to help keep us safe now.

Reception class made their own poppies, using scissors they cut out by themselves and decorated them  before putting them in plant pots to display.

Year 6 discussed the importance of Remembrance Day and why it is celebrated every year on the 11th November.  They looked at the significance of the poppy and created their own artwork to represent this.

We will remember them.
